When a figure, rule or statement on BlogBanking turns out to be wrong, we fix it and record it here.
Last updated 1 November 2026
This page lists factual mistakes: a wrong figure, a wrong rule or a statement that could mislead. It does not list routine updates, such as a new quarter's interest rates or a clearer sentence. How we check pages is explained in our editorial policy.
· RBI Floating Rate Savings Bonds, RBI Floating Rate Savings Bond calculator
The current bond rate was worked out from today's NSC rate. The scheme rules set it from the NSC rate in force on the last reset date (1 January or 1 July). The pages now follow the rule. The rate shown, 8.05%, did not change, because the NSC rate did not change on 1 October 2026.
· Sukanya Samriddhi interest rate
The page said up to 50% of the balance can be withdrawn "for education or marriage". The partial withdrawal is for the girl's higher education only; marriage allows closure of the account, not a partial withdrawal.
· Sukanya Samriddhi maturity amount
The guide said an account opened at age 10 "matures sooner, at 31". It matures later in her life: at 31, against 21 for an account opened at birth.
The tax deduction was called "80C". From April 2026 it is Section 123 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (earlier Section 80C). The rule and the limit did not change.
